Opeyemi Abigail Babarinde - Senior Project Manager
Opeyemi Abigail Babarinde
Senior Project Manager & Scrum Master
PSM1 Certified Google PM Certified 5+ Years Experience Fintech · Brand · Digital

I am Opeyemi Abigail Babarinde — a Senior Project Manager and Scrum Master with over three years of hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams in fintech, brand design, marketing, and digital product development. I am formally recognised as a Senior Project Manager, a title awarded in acknowledgement of the leadership and ownership I have consistently demonstrated across projects.

My approach centres on one principle: clarity creates velocity. When teams understand their goals, stakeholders trust the process, and feedback loops are tight, projects move faster and land better. I build the systems and communication channels that make that possible.

Across every engagement — from launching a Paystack product to building a crypto brand from zero — I have operated as the connective tissue between strategy and execution: translating business objectives into structured delivery plans, facilitating agile sprints, and ensuring every deliverable meets both brand and quality standards.

Holding a PSM1 certification from Scrum.org, a Google Project Management Certificate, and an Asana Workflow Specialist certification, I bring both methodological rigour and practical tooling expertise to every project I touch.

Leadership style &
methodology

How I show up to every project — the principles, frameworks, and ways of working that define my practice.

🔄

Agile & Scrum

My primary methodology. I facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement — creating a cadence that keeps teams accountable and stakeholders informed. PSM1 certified.

🏗️

Hybrid Delivery

For brand, marketing, and creative projects where Scrum alone isn't sufficient, I blend structured waterfall planning with agile flexibility — defining clear phases while adapting to creative iteration.

🤝

Servant Leadership

I lead by removing friction. My role is to create the conditions where talented people can do their best work — by ensuring clear goals, resolved blockers, and tight feedback loops.

📡

Stakeholder Communication

Proactive, structured, and transparent. I build communication frameworks from day one — ensuring stakeholders always know where projects stand without needing to chase for updates.

Clarity
First Principle
Every project starts with a clear brief, defined scope, and aligned stakeholders. Ambiguity is the enemy of delivery.
Systems
Operating Style
I build processes, portals, and trackers that create institutional memory and reduce dependency on individual knowledge.
Results
North Star
Delivery is the measure. On time, within scope, with a team that feels heard — that is what success looks like.

Projects that
speak for themselves

Four end-to-end project case studies spanning fintech, FMCG, crypto, and the arts — each detailing the context, challenge, actions, and results.

Zap by Paystack logo

Zap by Paystack

Brand Launch · End-to-End PM

Fintech Branding · Marketing · Website Design
Context

Paystack — one of Africa's leading payment infrastructure companies — required a completely new consumer-facing product launched under the name "Zap." The product needed a distinct brand identity separate from the Paystack parent brand, built from the ground up with zero existing assets.

Challenge

Coordinating a multi-stream brand build — visual identity, illustration system, video content, website, and launch assets — across multiple disciplines simultaneously, while maintaining brand consistency and hitting a fixed launch date with a high-profile client.

Actions Taken
Led end-to-end project from brief to launch, establishing a centralised project hub in Notion for all stakeholders
Structured delivery into distinct workstreams: logo & identity, illustration system, video production, and website
Facilitated cross-functional reviews to ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints
Managed stakeholder feedback cycles, reducing revision loops through structured approval gates
Outcome

Established a fully cohesive brand identity from scratch — logo, illustrations, videos, and website — all delivered on schedule. Zap launched successfully with complete brand alignment across every channel, positioned as a distinct product within the Paystack ecosystem.

Delivered complete brand system on time for official product launch — zero post-launch brand inconsistencies reported.
Salamanca Tequila logo

Salamanca Tequila

Brand & Market Activation · End-to-End PM

FMCG Branding · Website · Social Media · Activations
Context

Salamanca is a premium tequila brand entering a competitive consumer market. Unlike the Paystack project, this engagement required not only brand creation but active, ongoing market presence — social media management, content production, and trade activations running simultaneously.

Challenge

Managing multiple concurrent workstreams — branding, website, social content, and live trade activations — with different timelines, creative leads, and stakeholder expectations, without losing brand consistency or missing market moments.

Actions Taken
Oversaw full branding process: visual identity system, design collateral, and brand guidelines
Built and managed a content calendar coordinating design, copy, and social scheduling across platforms
Coordinated cross-functional teams spanning design, social media management, and events/activations
Ensured brand consistency between digital content and physical trade activation materials
Outcome

Built a recognisable, premium brand identity that translated consistently across digital and physical touchpoints. Consistent content delivery and coordinated activations measurably increased brand visibility and engagement in key target markets.

Increased market visibility across key channels; brand launched cohesively across digital and trade environments.
Onboard logo

Onboard

Brand Identity · End-to-End PM

Crypto Fintech Branding · Digital Asset Production
Context

Onboard is an early-stage crypto-fintech startup requiring a professional brand identity to compete credibly in a fast-moving, trust-sensitive space. With no existing brand equity, the product needed a visual foundation strong enough to support both a market launch and investor engagement.

Challenge

Delivering a full brand identity system within the compressed timelines typical of startup product launches, while ensuring the brand communicated credibility and modernity in equal measure — critical in the crypto space where trust is a primary purchase driver.

Actions Taken
Directed the full branding process from initial concept through to final visual identity system
Coordinated design teams producing digital assets across product and marketing channels
Managed production timelines to align brand readiness with product launch milestones
Ensured brand guidelines were documented and handed over for ongoing internal use
Outcome

Delivered a market-ready brand identity that enabled Onboard to launch with visual credibility across product interfaces and marketing materials. The brand system provided a scalable foundation for the team to continue building upon post-launch.

Brand delivered on schedule; Onboard launched with cohesive identity across product and all marketing channels.
The 1897 logo

The 1897

Website Design & Development · End-to-End PM

Art Gallery Website Design · Development · UX
Context

The 1897 is a prestigious art gallery requiring a new digital home — a website that reflected the cultural gravitas of the institution while being functional, accessible, and visually consistent with the gallery's brand. The project spanned wireframes through to final live development.

Challenge

Managing a multi-phase website project with a culturally discerning client, where aesthetic decisions required careful stakeholder input, and where content strategy, visual design, and development had to remain tightly aligned across every phase to prevent costly rework.

Actions Taken
Managed the project end-to-end: information architecture, wireframes, design, stakeholder review, and development handover
Established structured stakeholder review gates between each phase to capture feedback early and reduce revisions
Coordinated alignment between content drafts, site map, and final design layouts across multiple contributors
Ensured design consistency with the gallery's brand identity was maintained from wireframe through to live site
Outcome

Delivered a fully functional, aesthetically considered website that met the gallery's creative and functional requirements. Stakeholder satisfaction was high across all project phases, with structured communication cited as a key factor in the smooth delivery.

Website delivered on time with full stakeholder sign-off; structured review process eliminated late-stage rework.
